Admissions Process
Visits and Interviews
All prospective students and parents are invited to visit the school to learn more about the opportunities available. Each student is then invited to shadow a current student for a full day or partial day. During the visit, the prospective student will accompany the current student to classes. Our admissions staff learns a great deal by receiving teacher feedback and by observing prospective students in group situations. The applicant can also help determine if Trinity Collegiate School will be a good match.
Application and $50 Application Fee
The application can be downloaded from the website (see Admission Forms), or through a paper copy included in the admissions packet. Packets will be mailed upon request.
Confidential Recommendations From Current Teachers
These forms can be downloaded from the website or through a paper copy included in the admissions packet. Teachers provide us with great insight about individual students.
Transcripts or Report Cards
Once we receive your application and $50 application fee, we will request the official transcript from the student’s current school. Past performance is a strong indicator of future performance. Grades, absences, and teacher narratives all enable us to see how prospective students have performed in their past school.
Letter of Acceptance and Enrollment Contract
A letter of acceptance and a contract for enrollment will be issued to all prospective students who are offered admission. A $500 non-refundable tuition down payment and the enrollment contract must be received within two weeks of the contract offer date to secure a place in that class.
Wait List
Qualified students who are not initially offered contracts will have their names placed on a waiting list. Decisions are made on student qualification and readiness rather than length of time a candidate has been on the wait list. Each time a place in the class becomes available, each child from the list will be reconsidered.
