Trinity Collegiate School History

Trinity Collegiate School is a co-educational secondary school serving the Pee Dee area.

  • Located in Darlington county on 100 acres between the towns of Florence, Darlington, and Hartsville.
  • Campus under construction with Phase I and II completed, and Phase III to be completed in near future.
  • Trinity Collegiate School serves grades 7 through 12
  • Open to ALL qualified students
  • Emphasis on diversity
  • 25% of students receive financial aid
  • Accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and by the South Carolina Association of Independent Schools (SCISA)
Member of: National Association of Independent Schools, National Honor Society, Palmetto Association of Independent Schools, National Association of Episcopal Schools, and National Association of Secondary
    School Principals.

In 1995, a group of concerned parents created a college preparatory school to nurture in young people the qualities of intelligence, wisdom and moral commitment. Today, Trinity Collegiate School carries forward this vision. The mission of the school is to be a college preparatory school of academic excellence rooted in the faith, values and caring of the Judeo-Christian tradition. Trinity Collegiate School strives to assure that each student possesses the necessary skills to enter any post-secondary institution they desire.

Trinity Collegiate School has excellent teachers with an average teaching experience of more than ten years. The teacher pay scale is higher than the most  area salaries so that the school can be selective in employing the best teachers within as well as outside the Pee Dee area. The low student-teacher ratio of 8:1 means the students get a great deal of individual attention.

Diversity in the student body at Trinity Collegiate is very important. The student body is enriched by children from different cultural, racial and ethnic backgrounds providing opportunities for growth so that all our young people can mature into leaders within their community as well as within their chosen profession.

Finally, to encourage a well-rounded lifestyle, extracurricular activities are offered at Trinity Collegiate. These include a variety of sports along with music, drama, and yearbook. All students are required to complete 6 hours of community service per year outside of the classroom time. By doing this, the school helps to relate academic skills to a larger vision of life, one that recognizes the need to serve others.
