May
13 will be the official last day of our class for the year because I
will be chaperoning the senior trip to Europe. During this class period
there will be a final exam. At this point I cannot tell you what it will
cover. There are many options one being that students will be tested on
the student presentations. Students will know for sure when the time
comes.
A change form
last semester as follows: Chapter section quizzes rather than a larger
chapter exam at the end of each lecture series. Thus, quizzes will occur
more often, hoping to benefit students in their gaining knowledge rather
than memorizing information.
As always, this
is a tentative schedule. One never really knows the future and what it
holds, flexibility is always asked for. Please know that students will
be made aware of any changes to anything that pertains to this course.
I remind those
that read this that any time a class is missed; it becomes the student’s
responsibility to gather any information covered on that particular day.
If a quiz is missed, the student must complete that task upon their
return to school.

8th Grade:
Students will complete their lesson on Mexican Foil Relief. We will work
to get these matted and put on display by the end of the week. Students
will then continue with their continuous line drawing project of their
hand. After their drawing is reproduced several times, they will create
a collage with the images. Students will then put together their
portfolios to carry home their artwork for the end of the year. We will
work to have student cubbies/baskets cleaned out by the middle of next
week.
Art II:
Students will complete and critique their Masterwork painting this week.
They will then glaze their clay pots if they would like to as well as
continue working with their 4X4 designs. Students will be able to finish
up on these (4X4 designs) by the beginning of next week. We will work to
have student cubbies/baskets cleaned out by the middle of next week.
