BASKETBALL SEASON WRAP-UP The basketball season has ended a little earlier than most of us had probably hoped; each team was defeated in the first round of the playoffs. However, over the course of the season each team showed tremendous improvement and have bright futures ahead. Congratulations and thank you to our three seniors for their hard work and dedication to TCS basketball: Caitlyn Boggs, Seiya Miyata, and Josh Pruett. The Middle School boys concluded their season yesterday with a win over St. Anthony’s. The boys finished with 7-4 record for the season. Great job guys! JV Girls finished the regular season 7-7 and as the Region #5 seed. The Lady Titans were defeated by Pee Dee Academy in the first round of the playoffs. Congratulations to these young ladies who showed a tremendous amount of heart in their hard fought game against Pee Dee. This young team is sure to improve and compete for a JV championship next year. JV Boys finished the season 4-10 and as the #7 seed in the region tournament. The boys showed great character in their first round loss to Kings Academy. After being down 15 points, the boys were about to pull within 5 but could not pull off the upset. These young men showed great determination and heart throughout their season despite being young. The Varsity Lady Titans finished the year above .500 with a 12-11 record. The young Lady Titans steadily improved over the course of the season. The Lady Titans fell one game short of qualifying for the SCISA state tournament. After defeating Carolina Academy 44-40 in the last game of the regular season, the Lady Titans fell short in the playoffs to Carolina by the same score. Senior Caitlyn Boggs tied her season high with 10 points to help the Lady Titans come back from a 17 point deficit only to fall 4 points short. The Lady Titans finished the season as the #5 seed. Congratulations to all the Lady Titans and to 8th grader Allie Young on her All- Region selection. The Varsity Boys sent their seniors Seiya Miyata and Josh Pruett off on a positive note with a win on their home court for their last game at Trinity. This double overtime victory was a highlight for the boys. The boys showed major improvement over the course of the season winning two of their last three home games. Unfortunately the boys tournament hopes ended in the first round of the region tournament. Congratulations to all of our athletes and coaches on their season and many thanks to all the parents and other fans who came to the games. Bryan Kaye
