TRINITY COLLEGIATE SCHOOL WEEKLY CALENDAR
AP Art Exam this Friday after lunch, in
Conference Room TCS Parent Guild We are excited to announce that we are starting a United Scrip program at Trinity. This program may be familiar to many of you already but for those of you who have never heard of it, this is how it works: you order gift cards through the program for the exact cost of the card and Trinity purchases the card at a reduced price depending on the percentage offered by the particular company providing the card (i.e, Best buy). Trinity pays for the shipping and you get a gift card you would have purchased anyway, for the same price you would have paid, and the school earns money from it. Payment may be made by check payable to Trinity Parent Guild and should be sent in an envelope to school marked “scrip order” to the attention of Mary Culleton.

3 - 2 - 1 TIREZ!!!
On Friday, May 2, Mr. Blackmon's Physics class put on a display of catapults that were built for a class project. There were four catapults in all which were designed and built with knowledge gained in class. “The Physics students were very successful in displaying their knowledge on the subject of catapults. It was fun and exciting! They used coconuts as their projectiles.” – Miranda Pace “It was a fun project but unfortunately nobody was able to pull off the full 30 yards, and despite remarks from the spectators my catapult, made out of PVC pipe, was definitely the best looking.” - Pat Pittard “I had a lot of fun! It was really cool to take something I learned in class and making something out of my knowledge. Granted my knowledge didn’t serve me as well as I’d hoped, but it was fun to build and pretty darn funny to watch!” – Elizabeth Carawan “There were four catapults and only one actually made it aloft. It’s kind of sad but it was still fun building and firing the catapults. Mine only went 35 feet because the design was flawed and the spring was to weak, but at least I know how to build a siege weapon now.” - Chris Snipes GIRL’S VARSITY SOCCER PLAY-OFF Trinity will play Oakbrook Prep at 5PM today, May 8. The game has been scheduled to be played at Hammond School in Columbia. For directions go to "Athletics" then "Directions."
